Cosm app for iPhone and iPad

Cosm provides you with essential observational information on the Sun, the Moon and the planets. It shows current positions and velocities of the bodies as well as their rise and set times for the day.

No Internet connection needed. Designed for high precision, Cosm uses modern positional astronomy algorithms to compute shown data. Apparent body position and velocity values have sub-arcsecond degree of accuracy and are referred to the ITRF.

Choose between horizontal and equatorial coordinates. If necessary, angular values can be custom formatted in radians, degrees or hours.

Note on location:
In order to compute apparent celestial body phenomena, observers location is necessary. Let Cosm detect location automatically or specify it manually in application preferences. Detected location data is used only for computations and is discarded once computations are done.
